Damascus-SANA
Today, more than 65,000 students in industrial and women's vocational education started their practical exams in various governorates, within 22 approved professions in vocational education at the Ministry of Education.
The number of students applying for industrial education reached 54 thousand students, and 14 thousand in women’s education, according to the statement of the Director of Vocational and Technical Education at the Ministry of Education, Engineer Fahmy Al-Akhal.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Eng. Al-Akhal pointed out the importance of practical tests for industrial and women's vocational education in terms of measuring the level of skills acquired by the student through two directions. A project or test on machines and laboratories according to the nature of each subject. The maximum end of this exam is equal to 50 percent of the practical score and equal to 25 percent of the maximum end of each specialized vocational subject.
Al-Akhal stressed the importance of the practical exam, as it measures the final skill level of the student in the subjects, through which the student gets his chance in the labor market, pointing out that there is a subsequent theoretical test through which the student’s theoretical knowledge related to each specialized professional subject is measured.
