This sentence sums up the fateful event which, at 12, will propel Giovanna (Giordana Marengo), a young Neapolitan girl from the 90s, on the long and winding path of passage to adolescence, then to adulthood.
Her father compared her to Vittoria, her aunt with an evil reputation who lives in the poor quarters of Naples.
The young woman then decides to meet him, and will discover another social universe that will guide her in her quest for identity.
This learning story is taken from a novel of the same name by Elena Ferrante, who has already seen several of her works, including
