(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, 03 JAN - The EU Commission has received from Italy the request for the payment of the third tranche of 19 billion under the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
This was announced by the EU Commission, explaining that "Italy's third payment request concerns 55 stages and objectives covering various reforms in the fields of competition, justice, education, undeclared work and the management of water resources, as well as investments in cybersecurity, energy renewables, networks, railways, research, tourism, urban regeneration and social policies."
"Italy's comprehensive recovery and resilience plan is financed with €69 billion in grants and €122.6 billion in loans. Payments under the Recovery and Resilience Facility are based on results and are conditional on implementation by part of Italy of the investments and reforms outlined in its recovery and resilience plan.
The Commission will now evaluate the request and will send the Council's Economic and Financial Committee its preliminary assessment of Italy's achievement of the milestones and objectives required for this payment", underlines the European executive again. (ANSA).
