The remarks made by the Minister of Culture, Rima Abdul-Malak, on the maintenance of cultural festivals during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, in an interview granted to Le Parisien in mid-December, did not reassure the Union of contemporary music ( SMA), which represents some 200 festivals.
“The government is talking about big festivals, not intermediaries, reacts Aurélie Hannedouche, director of the SMA.
And those who stand between July 18 and August 12, in the red period of the 2024 Olympics, are worried because the ministry has called them to ask them to cancel or postpone.
