The police and fire brigade in Berlin report attacks on emergency services on New Year's Eve, often with fireworks.
Videos of such riots are circulating online.
But there are also mixed recordings that have nothing to do with Berlin and the turn of the year.
For example, there is a video in which several people attack an ambulance with projectiles: the apparently angry people throw stones with great force through the open rear door of the vehicle.
A politician from the right-wing extremist NPD linked the video to acts of violence by migrants.
The clip is said to have been recorded on New Year's Eve in Berlin-Neukölln and has been widely distributed in recent days.
But that's a lie.
The video was made in 2019 in the Chinese special administrative region of Hong Kong.
A higher definition version of the film was released on November 18, 2019 on a Twitter account of China's state broadcaster CCTV.
The state media wrote that a mob attacked police officers in Hong Kong that day.
Students free arrested protester
In Hong Kong there were protests in 2019 and 2020 against further political rapprochement between the former British colony and authoritarian China.
Supporters of the democracy movement repeatedly fought clashes with the security forces.
The security laws against which the protests were directed were later introduced nonetheless.
In mid-November 2019, protests broke out at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The video with the ambulance was made at a nearby road junction.
According to the Singapore newspaper "Straits Times", a protester was said to have been brought there by the police beforehand.
Then, according to the police, a "mob of rioters" attacked the security forces and freed the woman.
Riots broke out in Berlin on the night of the turn of the year 2022/2023.
In Neukölln, a fire extinguisher was thrown at a moving ambulance.
There is actually a video of this act on Silbersteinstrasse.
The police and fire brigade reported numerous other attacks on emergency services.
At least 56 of them were reportedly injured.
