In the first and exclusive interview he gave as part of a follow-up episode to "Shadow of Truth", Zadorov referred to the difficulty he experienced during his imprisonment ("It was as if I had returned from a life I did not know, I missed my family") and the admission of guilt ("I could not prove my innocence, I broke down" • The director of the series said: "Let the viewers decide who they believe"

Almost a year and a half has passed since Roman Zadorov was released to house arrest, after serving 15 years in prison for the murder of Tair Rada in 2006, after the Supreme Court decided to hold a retrial in his case.

The famous trial was at the center of an enormous legal storm that rocked the country, and was also the focus of the documentary series "Shadow of a Shadow", for which Zadorov gave a first and exclusive interview - parts of which are revealed tonight (Tuesday) for the first time.

In "Shadow of Truth: The Decision", which will be broadcast immediately after the verdict in the case on HOT8 and HOT VOD, Zadorov tells his part of the story for the first time.

In addition, the head of the Forensic Medicine Institute, Dr. Chen Kogel, attorney Yarom Halevi, who has been representing Zadorov on a voluntary basis for years, and the former deputy head of the Shin Bet Yitzchak Ilan, the late, are also interviewed, in the last interview he gave before he passed away from complications of Corona.

Zadorov talks about the difficulty he experienced after the release ("It's just unbelievable, everything is new, as if you came back from a life you don't know anything about. I missed my family the most, my children, my wife, my mother. When they took me from my family, I lost my child, I didn't raise him").

Referring to the fact that he confessed to Rada's murder, he said: "I'm a sensitive person. Maybe physically I'm strong, but in my soul I'm weak. I felt lonely, and I just broke down, and I said to myself: 'On the one hand, to serve a life sentence for a case in which I did nothing Nothing - I don't want to. But on the other hand - I couldn't prove my innocence. Even though I know I'm innocent, there's no choice here. That's why I confessed."

Ari Pines and Yotam Gendelman, directors of the series, said: "The Zadorov case preoccupies the Israeli public more than any other criminal case, but most of the public finds it difficult to navigate the evidence and revelations that came up in the retrial. Therefore, our main goal in the new episode is first of all to put order in the case, to explain to the public Why is there a retrial, what was discovered during it and why these revelations are important for the investigation of the truth.

"Also, we see great importance in Zadorov being able to tell for the first time why he confessed to the murder he claims he did not commit, and participate in the public debate about it. The fact that Zadorov's investigations were fully documented, along with the days and nights he spent in the detention cell with dubbing, allows us as creators to deconstruct the police investigation, Show the viewers what was the dynamic that led to the confession, thumbs up, and let them decide if they believe her or not."
