The actor and comedian returns to the theater stage - and this time in the play "Dor Ba", which describes the economic and occupational difficulties experienced by young people today • "I saw a very strong text, and it inspired me to go for it", he shares

The play "Dor Ba" will be staged this month at the home theater, and it tells the story of a 30-year-old boy who returns from India with no money and is forced to live with his parents.

The play was written by Mein Even ("The End") and directed by Noa Wagner.

Beside Evan, who also plays in the play, Nina Kotler, Lir Katz and an actor who returns to the theater after a long time - Uri Gottlieb.

"Once, a long time ago, more than 20 years ago, I played in the theater, mainly in the Haifa theater," smiles Gottlieb (53).

"Ma'in approached me with a very good and strong text. I saw his show 'The End', and I really liked the style there, it really excited me to collaborate with him."

Tell me about the play.

"Nina Kotler and I play a couple, the parents of an annoying 30-year-old boy who returns from a trip to India, whom he kind of plays, and he returns to real life and expects his parents to give him everything. There is a very big clash between the relatively young parents' desire to live their lives as they wish, and the burden of a child Spoiled and confused to be stuck at home."

Actually a small and private story that sheds light on the difficulties that the younger generation is experiencing today?

"Exactly. There are many people I meet during this period who do not understand how to live their lives. The difficulty is very great, because they have dreams that they cannot really fulfill and they need help from those around them. On the other hand, their parents are relatively young and want to live their lives, And suddenly they have a case."

Are you fulfilling your dreams?

"That's a good question. Playing in this play is not something I had to do, and it is indeed my inner desire and dream to go on stage and do important and funny things. There are also other dreams that I am less able to fulfill, especially in the field of peace of mind (laughs)."

Eben shares the starting point from which he started.

"The first inspiration was the fear that I would find myself lost at the age of 30, without money and without a home and family, and forced to return to my parents. There is something in my generation that makes people remain dependent on their parents. They are always in their shadow. The previous generation managed to build homes and families for themselves, to be in a furrow

"We face challenges that they don't know. While writing, I discovered that the gap between reality and wishes is very concerning to me. There is a generation here that does not let go of its wishes, compared to a generation that may have given up on them. I went to a satirical comedy, and in the process I discovered that within the comedy I was writing something real with a lot of compassion ".
