In designing the pre-fall 2023 collection of the N. 21 brand,
Alessandro Dell'Acqua,
one of the most influential and well-known Italian stylists abroad (creative director of Genny at 23, to then follow brands such as La Perla, Brioni, Malo, Les Copains and Rochas) talks about the themes that arise from his personal obsessions, from his passions and studies, from the sensations that the years have sedimented and led to stylistic solutions.
And that's not all, because N21's prefall 2023 also speaks the technical language of the intensity of whites, the nuances of mauve, the essentiality of blush, the variations of blue, the neutrality of black.
And of
widths and lengths,
of mélange knitwear.
Of woven fabrics, raw cut,
The collection is a wardrobe that contains solutions and sensations.
Like the furs, rigorously faux furs, light and impalpable like clouds in mohair wool, in white or lavender.
Suits and dresses in wool weaving with very light chains that outline the hems, necklines, pockets and which at times become metallic threads of the "wrong length".
Coats and jackets in herringbone wool accompany sweaters, pajamas with poppies prints and shirts, dresses and tops in crepe de Chine inlaid with Chantilly lace that create lingerie effects.
The leather, worked with a jeans effect, gives life to jackets and coats with worn edges that alternate with those in kid mohair, whose essential line is enlivened by the feathers that descend along the entire length.
The sweaters, the shirts,
the tops have a rhinestone jewel fixed on a velvet cushion and applied "pocket";
shiny, liquid sequins form dresses and jackets in gold, gray and navy blue, while knitwear in mohair sits next to gold, gray and mélange lurex.
And a
new vision of
animalier with leopard spots on brushed wool in the form of coats, jackets, shirts and sweaters.
A long tracking shot that in the end aligns the coats and pea coats in very marine stretch cloth, such as the striped sweaters with portholes on the back, together with short dresses and skirts with white collars and hems, dresses and jackets in silk velvet or velvet on jersey.
