At flea market: rabbit is sold as food, today it is a social media star

Rabbit "Tony" is very lucky: it's supposed to end up in the cooking pot, but a couple takes pity on it and raises it.
Another stroke of fate finally makes Tony famous.
Paintings, furniture and even jewellery: at a flea market there is one or the other piece of jewelery to be discovered.
However, what a couple sees on their Puerto Rico vacation just horrified them: Several rabbits are sitting in a cage, including "Tony".
However, the animals are not sold as pets, but should end up fried on the plate as food.
The couple is certain: They want to save Tony and take him in with them.

They give him lots of love and the little guy grows and thrives.
So that he is not completely alone, they get him a playmate.
But then the next stroke of fate overtakes him.
Tony has a serious illness, apparently from birth.
First it spreads in one eye, Tony has to go to the vet again and again.
Eventually he develops a cataract like the kind dogs can get when he's only a few months old.

Finally, the furry nose is operated, but as a result, Tony keeps his head askew.
While it doesn't cause pain and looks unusual, the handicap doesn't stop Tony from enjoying life to the fullest.
He romps around, likes to eat lettuce leaves and keeps his owners on their toes.

Rabbits with disabilities inspire Instagram users
He's even on Instagram and with his kind nature he already has over 54,000 followers, whom he regularly inspires with cute videos of him.
Tony is now a bit of a social media star getting thousands of likes for his posts, his fans regularly commenting on what a brave rabbit he is.
