The event founded and produced by Pascal Vicedomini traditionally opens the international awards season.
For the Warner Bros. film, awards also went to Catherine Martin (best costumes), best Make up and Hair-stling, Production designer, sound editing and mixing, in addition to the 'Life for cinema' awards to Aldo Signoretti and the 'Capri producers of the Year' to Luhrmann and his team.
Best Actors 2022 are Brendan Fraser ("The Whale") and Ana de Armas ("Blonde'"), supporting Eddie Redmayne ("The Good Nurse") and Angela Bassett ("Black Panther: Wakanda Forever").
The winners of the 27th edition were chosen by the Board of the Istituto Capri nel Mondo honorary president Tony Renis who announced them, with the director Terry Gilliam (chairman);
the Oscar winners Gianni Quaranta and Alessandro Bertolazzi, Remo Girone, Daniel McVicar, Sebastian Harrison, Enrico Vanzina, Valerio Esposito, Stefano Reali.
Together with Israeli musicians Noa and Gil Dor.
Three awards for '"Top Gun: Maverick'": to cinematographer Claudio Miranda, editor Eddie Hamilton and for special effects.
Due to Guillermo del Toro's "Pinocchio" (Netflix) for the animation and soundtrack by Alexandre Desplat.
Best Original Song "Applause'" (Tell It Like a Woman') by Diane Warren.
Capri Visionary Award 2022 to Alejandro G. Inarritu for "Bardo"
(Netflix) and to Luca Barbareschi for "The Palace'".
Capri Master of Cinematic Art Awards 2022 are Liliana Cavani, Franco Nero, Michele Placido.
European films of the year: 'Nostalgia' (Medusa) and "The shadow of Caravaggio'" (Rai Cinema) with Riccardo Scamarcio and Federica Luna Vincenti for best actor and producer.
