This Catholic sums up the feeling of many of the faithful: Mgr Michel Aupetit, former archbishop of Paris, is the subject of a preliminary investigation for acts of sexual assault.
These investigations were launched after the filing of a report made by the diocese of Paris, relating to a liaison maintained by the prelate with a vulnerable person – a woman subject to a measure of judicial protection.
In October, the Church announced that eleven bishops or former bishops were concerned by acts of sexual abuse or non-denunciation, including Cardinal Ricard.
