How annoying!

A Lidl customer noticed at the checkout that she had lost her deposit slip.

But the cashier surprised her with a clever question.

Jever - don't lose!

That's probably what many supermarket customers thought when they pulled the deposit slip out of the machine.

Especially when there is more to it than just two or three bottles and a lot of money is involved.

But what shouldn't happen, a Lidl customer said she lost her empties label in the branch.

Lidl customer describes heartwarming everyday story

She describes her little everyday story on Twitter.

And even if this is of course not confirmed: it does not read like a fake.

Instead, the story warmed many hearts in the days following Christmas, garnering a three-digit like in less than 24 hours.

"Tüdel around in the village Lidl, shop, stand at the checkout and my deposit is gone," writes the user.

"I sigh deeply and let the saleswoman know." At the time, the Lidl customer probably feared that the money was gone!

But the employee asked her a question that she was able to answer correctly.

"Then she says, 'How much was on the receipt?'

'58 bottles' 'My colleague found it.'” With the right number she was supposed to prove that the deposit slip was hers.

Lidl customer describes heartwarming everyday story

The conclusion of the Lidl customer: "Love them all a bit!" As she explains on tz.de query, it was a stately 14.50 euros.

And the place of events was a Lidl branch in Friesland (Lower Saxony).

"The receipt fell out of my pocket when I was taking out my shopping list.

An employee found it and let the cashier know,” she explains.

She shows her digital receipt.

"That was so nice of the team there, I was really excited!"

The 14.50 euro deposit ended up on the Lidl customer's digital receipt.

A Twitter user is amazed at the deposit amount.

"Wow, 58 is a lot." The Lidl customer reacts: "I always collect until the end of the month and then redeem it." If you then lose the receipt, of course it's all the more annoying - unless you have a nice one like that branch team to do.

A Kaufland customer who gave a deposit for hundreds of euros fared less well - and probably flew out of the branch.
