Gambling streamers Scurrows and Orangemorange have caused an uproar with their Twitch departure.
Fans support the change.
Funchal, Madeira – Twitch is no longer just a platform for streaming video games.
Streamers come up with many other formats.
This is how the controversial casino and gambling streams have prevailed.
Two of the most prominent streamers in this space are Scurrows and Orangemorange, who have now left Twitch for rival portal Kick.
Their fans have their backs.

"Kick really a mega page": Scurrows and Orangemorange fans celebrate the change
Why are streamers leaving Twitch at all?
There are several reasons why the two gambling streamers are increasingly streaming on Kick:
Scurrows and Orangemorange announced at the beginning of 2023 that they were leaving Twitch because they considered the portal to be non-transparent and disagreed with many decisions.
In addition, Twitch has now introduced regulations for gambling streams, which is probably also a reason for the change.
In addition, Kick offers better financial conditions, as the streamers participate more in the income from streams and donations.
However, Scurrows and Orangemorange will not stream exclusively on Kick, so a return to Twitch is not entirely out of the question.
This is how the fans react
: The followers of the streamers mostly rate the change positively.
On Twitter they write, among other things:
"Kick is really a mega site for the fact that it's only a beta, let's wait and see what else is to come."
Another comment says: "
Hope Kick goes through the roof and offers Twitch Finally competition, so that Twitch can make a little effort again
. "
Some fans believe that after Scurrows and Orangemorange, more streamers will switch to Kick.

There is also criticism – an online casino operator is said to be behind Kick
Kick is already being criticized:
Apparently one of the co-founders of the online casino Stake is behind the Twitch competitor.
And since Scurrows and Orangemorange are partners of Stake, some people find fault with it.
After gambling streamers described the whole thing as a life-changing announcement, one Twitter user slammed it:
"What was that life changing announcement?
You just switch platforms and stream the same thing there again.
Just because there's another stake you're sponsored by.
It has nothing to do with life changing, just with money...sorry bro.”
However, Scurrows hit back and criticized Twitch for being owned by Amazon:
