You, you have, you have me, you stole me: Just one day after it was erected, unknown persons stole a bronze statue by the anonymous artist Roxxy Roxx from Rammstein singer Till Lindemann in Rostock.

The police announced on Wednesday.

The statue stood on a green space in the Evershagen district of Rostock, where Lindemann spent part of his youth.

The police were informed of the theft around 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

The work of art on a pedestal was set up as an "early birthday present" for Lindemann, who turned 60 this Wednesday.

"Early happy birthday, @till_lindemann_official I made you a statue," wrote Roxxy Roxx on his Instagram account on Tuesday.

The campaign was met with many likes and positive reactions on the Internet.

“May he stay there forever!” one comment said.

This hope was disappointed.

The second bad experience for Roxxy Roxx: In July 2019 he had already dedicated a statue to the rapper Marteria in downtown Rostock with his fictional character »Marsimoto«.

It was also stolen by strangers after just two days.
