The action took place while the Minister of Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, presented his wishes to economic players, the statement said.
"This year, my new resolution is to stop passively watching this government lead us to the slaughterhouse and fight with all the strength I have left to claim my right to life," said Nina, one of the two activists who took part in the action.
According to Last Renovation, the Ministry of the Economy has been targeted because it "has been blocking for months any desire to release the massive funding essential to reduce the effects of climate change".
Other actions to come?
On Wednesday, two other activists from the environmental association, at the origin of numerous punching actions in recent months, sprayed orange paint on the entrance to Matignon to denounce "a facade climate action by the government".
Last Renovation aims to obtain, by 2040, the implementation of a major plan for the thermal renovation of buildings, on the model of the Citizen's Climate Convention.
"As long as the government continues its criminal inaction, we will continue to use all non-violent means at our disposal to make our cries of revolt heard," the statement concluded.
