(ANSA) - LAMPEDUSA, 05 JAN - The corpse of a migrant was sighted in the waters in front of the CalaUccello cliff in Lampedusa.
It was the carabinieri who called the firefighters of the island detachment.
To proceed with the recovery of the body, the firefighters and a Coast Guard patrol boat are traveling to the area with a boat.
Meanwhile, the landings on the island continue: 74 migrants landed in Lampedusa after the 12-metre boat on which they were traveling was rescued by the CP319 patrol boat of the Coast Guard.
They said they were originally from Egypt and Sudan and that they set sail at 10am on Wednesday from Zawiya, Libya.
Five Tunisians, among the guests of the contrada Imbriacola hotspot, were arrested, and placed under house arrest, by the Agrigento mobile team for returning to Italy before three years had passed since their removal to the border.
