Prince Harry, 38, describes in his autobiography »Spare« (in German: »Reserve«) a physical attack by his brother William in his London home in 2019. This is reported by the British »Guardian«, which received a copy of the eagerly awaited book is available, as are other major media outlets in the country.

During the altercation, William called Harry's wife Meghan "difficult," "rude," and "aggressive," which Harry describes as "parroting the press narrative" about his wife.

William, 40, was not rational, the confrontation then escalated.

His brother grabbed him by the collar, tore at his necklace and pushed him to the ground.

"I landed on the dog's bowl, which broke under my back and the pieces cut into me," Harry describes the incident.

"I lay there dazed for a moment, then got up and told him to go."

Harry writes that William urged him to fight back, reminding him of struggles they had as children.

According to Harry, however, he refused to comply.

William then left, but apologized shortly thereafter.

William is said to have then told Harry that he didn't have to tell Meghan about it.

"You mean you attacked me?" said Harry.

"I didn't attack you, Harold," William reportedly replied.

Harry writes that he then called his therapist.

Meghan later discovered "scratches and bruises" on his back, so he also told her about the attack.

According to Harry, his wife wasn't particularly surprised or angry about it.

"She was terribly sad."

Isn't Harry attending his father Charles's coronation?

Harry had recently ruled out returning to the closer circle of the British royal family in an interview with the American broadcaster CBS, which released a short trailer.

In an interview with British broadcaster ITV, of which a short excerpt has already been published, Harry said he wanted his father and brother back.

In a clip from the ITV interview with journalist Tom Bradby, pre-released on Thursday, Harry evaded the question of whether he would attend his father Charles III's coronation.

will attend in London in May if invited.

"A lot can happen before then," Harry said, but his "door is always open."

The ball is now in the family court, there is a lot to talk about.

He hopes that "they" are willing to talk about what happened.

Harry and his wife Meghan had fallen out with the other royals and broke away from the inner circle of the royal family about three years ago.

The two criticized the royal family fiercely, but also in parts vaguely – especially in a TV interview with US talk show legend Oprah Winfrey and in a six-part Netflix documentary.
