World's Biggest Streamer Triumphs in Endless Minecraft Challenge - Beats Rival's Record
What happened?
On Twitch nobody is watched as much as xQc aka Felix Lengyel.
In his streams, the e-sports professional can usually be observed completely focused while playing games.
But his latest triumph has demanded even more focus from xQc than usual.
For two years, Lengyel has been trying to break a speed run record set by his streamer colleague "Forsen" - now he's finally done it.
With a new personal best of 20:05, he beat Forsen's record by 33 seconds.
What is a speed run?
In a speedrun, players try to reach the end of a game as quickly as possible.
Often all means (except for cheats) are allowed, so that crazy scenes can arise in many games.
Big games like Minecraft have vibrant speedrunning communities that are busy smashing their best times day in and day out.
To spur each other on (and because most world records are incredibly difficult to break), some speedrun players foster rivalries and try to outdo each other.
Here's what it looks like:
xQc showcased his success live on Twitch and couldn't believe it when he broke Forsen's record.
"
I'm done with this sh*t [...] I'm shaking f*cking it,
" the streamer yells, leaning back in his chair.
"
Everyone was in doubt
," he accuses the fans in his Twitch chat who didn't believe in his triumph.
xQc wagered $500,000 on the World Cup and was mocked by its fans.
We have included a video on the success of xQc at this point.
Rival reports:
Forsen has also noticed that his rival has caught up.
In the manner of the endless Minecraft Challenge, his rival replies with a weary: "
For
the time being ".
In the comments of his video on YouTube, xQc reaps kind words from his fans.
Even if some ironically enjoy the achievement, they will probably miss how the streamer spent the Minecraft speed run.
xQc breaks Forsen's Minecraft speedrun record - grumbles about being "still slow".
Still Slow: While
it's impressive to reach the end of Minecraft in just under 20 minutes, xQc still grumbles about not having a run to be proud of.
Although he beat Forsen, given his time he would not even make the top 1000 worldwide.
On speedrun.com the times of most games are meticulously recorded and are considered a real ranking between speedrun players.

The world record:
If xQc wants to break the world record, he should keep pushing.
The world record is currently 8 minutes, 15 seconds and 537 milliseconds and was set by the American "doogile" on November 6, 2022 (as of January 6, 2023).
