"It's not that I drank every day, it's that I drowned every day": Carla Bruni-Sarkozy talks about her past addiction to alcohol

Carla Bruni then turned to tobacco around the age of 14-15.

"Everyone smoked in my family, so they couldn't say anything," she added.

As for drugs, the model claims to have touched only a little.

"I don't really like to put myself upside down, she explains, I like a sweet intoxication."

Addictions that she has now put behind her.

She says she now drinks one glass of alcohol a month, and smokes occasionally.
