(ANSAmed) - TEL AVIV, JANUARY 06 - The government of Benyamin Netanyahu today announced a series of measures against the Palestinian National Authority and NGOs active in the West Bank.
The move was justified by the PNA's decision to ''appeal to the International Court of Justice'' on the status of the West Bank, ''and thus to engage in a political-legal war'' with Israel.
''We are not disposed - Netanyahu's executive explained - to stay together''.
Among the measures against the PNA, Israel has announced that it will withhold from the taxes it collects for the Palestinians the portions that the PNA itself allocates "to the families of terrorists", and that from those funds the sum of 139 million shekelsara'
Israel will therefore also block ''Palestinian building expansion projects in area C of the West Bank (the area under Israeli control, ed.) carried out in contrast with international agreements''.
Furthermore, ''the benefits granted to the Vippalestinians who are engaged in the legal-political struggle against Israel will be blocked''.
Lastly, as regards the NGOs operating in the Palestinian Territories, Israel has established that ''it will undertake actions against those of them who carry out terrorist activities or any hostile activity, including political-legal activities disguised as humanitarian activities''.
