Italy ahead 2-0 over Greece at the end of day 1 of the challenge that is worth a place in the final of the "United Cup", the new mixed-team event that kicked off the 2023 season. At the "Ken Rosewall Arena" in the Olympic Park Sydney Tennis Center the blue team has to contend with the Greek team of Sakkari and Tsitsipas, number one favorite of the draw.
In fact, in the first singles, Martina Trevisan, WTA n.27, defeated 6-3 6-7 7-5, in three hours and 14 minutes, the Greek Maria Sakkari, WTA n.6.
Then Musetti, n.23 ATP, liquidated 6-1 6-1, in one hour and two minutes, Stefanos Sakellaridis, n.803.
The other three matches are scheduled for tomorrow: from 5pm local time Matteo Berrettini, n.16 ATP, challenges Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Then Lucia Bronzetti, n.54 WTA, finds Despina Papamichail, n.158 WTA.
Finally the mixed doubles.
