According to its own information, 50 Cent is planning a TV series based on the cinema classic »8 Mile«.
The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, announced this in a conversation with the YouTube channel "Big Boy TV".
He is working on it with his hip-hop colleague Eminem.
In the biographical feature, Eminem had acted his story but not himself. The film follows a young rapper's rise to fame in Detroit.
The superstar received an Oscar in 2003 for the title song »Lose Yourself«.
Since that starring role, Eminem has had few acting appearances apart from his music videos.
50 Cent, on the other hand, whose rap career was greatly assisted by Eminem, has been involved in much more of the film and television business as an actor, producer, writer, and director since his acting debut in 2005's Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
In the "8 Mile" series he wants to show more details and backgrounds, said 50 Cent about the new project.
"I think it should be for his legacy."
