A 17-year-old from Middle Franconia, who is said to have killed his sister and seriously injured his mother, is in custody.

A police spokesman said the court had issued an arrest warrant against him.

The body of the 14-year-old girl was found by the police on Friday morning in a semi-detached house in Weisendorf near Erlangen.

According to the police, the alleged perpetrator and the victims lived there together.

Officials discovered the 41-year-old mother outside the house.

Traces of blood were found on the doorbell of the neighboring house.

The mother may have tried to ask for help there.

The police arrested the alleged perpetrator shortly after the body was found “near the scene of the crime”.

In the course of the investigation, the suspicion against him was confirmed.

According to initial findings, the girl was probably killed by a knife.

The autopsy is scheduled for Monday, the spokesman said.

The mother came to a hospital.

There is no danger to life.

Traces of blood on the neighboring house

It is currently being determined how the traces of blood on the neighboring house can be assigned and how they fit into the course of the crime, said the police spokesman.

The Erlangen police questioned neighbors and people close to the family.

Many aspects of the case remain open - such as the question of whether there was a dispute in the family.

During the night, lights and flowers were laid in front of the house in the 6,800-inhabitant town.

Also on Saturday people laid roses and lit candles there.
