The new "Tatort" from Dresden starts as a dull thriller and ends as a thriller.

Our TV review.

What begins as a completely normal and somewhat dull thriller ends after 90 minutes as a highly exciting and dramatic thriller.

First and foremost, thanks go to author Kristin Derfler, who wrote this gripping screenplay for yesterday's "Tatort" from Dresden, which was then skilfully staged by Andreas Herzog.

The team of Commissioner Schnabel (great as always: Martin Brambach), Karin Gorniak (Karin Hanczewski) and Leonie Winkler (Cornelia Gröschel) took a step back in favor of the good story.

The events surrounding Schnabel, who was dying at the end of the previous episode, were touched upon briefly, but not further developed.

There was enough other stuff to do.

Beautiful intact family world?

Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that!

The murder of nursery owner Heike Teichmann (Tanja de Wendt), who was killed with a hammer and lies dead in the greenhouse, had to be solved.

Son-in-law Patrick (Nico Rogner) quickly identifies the mentally handicapped Juri Novak (Alexander Schuster) as the perpetrator because he saw him running away from the crime scene with the murder weapon in his hand.

It's clear that it couldn't have been Juri – too easy.

Patrick Teichmann, meanwhile, is not really in the sights of the investigators, but as a spectator you have him on the bill for a long time - not least because he drew suspicion on Juri and even with the truth (he has an affair with a work colleague!) not takes very seriously.

His own wife (Kristin Suckow) has to make sure that he really hasn't done anything to "Mutti".

Meanwhile she is also coming, Nadine Teichmann,

possible as a perpetrator.

In short: the entire family business is miles away from a peaceful coexistence of the generations.

This "crime scene" inspires with a furious finale

The fact that the thriller then takes a completely different direction is as surprising as it is necessary and good.

Suddenly it's about kidnapping after birth, about hurt feelings, about love and the sad feeling of not being loved - not even by your own mother.

And finally, "Dead Heart," as the episode is aptly titled, tells the story of a rejected, desperate, and deeply frustrated woman (also Kristin Suckow) on a quest for revenge, culminating in a finale aboard a boat that could easily have slipped into the ridiculous. got the curve in time.
