(ANSA) - ROME, 08 JAN - An Atlantic perturbation will bring thunderstorms and strong winds to most of Italy.
This is indicated by a weather alert from the Civil Protection.
The notice foresees strong winds or storms in Tuscany and Umbria from today's evening, extending from the early hours of tomorrow to Marche, Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania and Basilicata, especially on the Apennine ridges.
From the morning the strong winds will first affect Tuscany and then extend to Sardinia, Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont, Puglia, Calabria and Sicily.
Storm surges will be possible along the exposed coasts.
The warning also forecasts scattered to widespread rainfall, including downpours or thunderstorms, over Liguria and Tuscany, progressively extending from the early hours of tomorrow to Lazio, Campania, Basilicata and Calabria, especially on the Tyrrhenian slopes of mountainous areas.
Possible showers of strong intensity, frequent electrical activity and strong gusts of wind.
Also evaluated for tomorrow orange alert on part of Liguria.
Yellow alert on Tuscany, Lazio, Campania, Calabria, Basilicata, Abruzzo, Umbria, part of Marche, Sardinia, Puglia, Molise, Emilia-Romagna.
