For many, the corona closures of mid-2020 are an old memory that should be avoided.

This is because the first days of the global epidemic were for quite a few of those who were locked in their homes no less than a nightmare - or a horror movie.

Just like "Sick", a new horror film that will be released next week on the "Peekok" network and which takes place during the peak days of the pandemic.

"Sick" focuses on two friends who decide to isolate themselves during the quarantine days in a remote house.

As you can imagine, their experience of isolation does not amount to showing a great interest in cooking, bingeing "Tiger King" and growing pots.

The plot of the film takes place in April 2020, just when the citizens of the world were forced to shut themselves in their homes when the mysterious virus spread at an alarming rate.

The challenges facing the pair of companies turn out to be more acute than maintaining hand hygiene, since in addition to the virus, they must avoid a masked killer determined to end their lives.

"While the plague stops the world, Parker and her best friend Miri decide to lock themselves in her family's house by a lake alone. Or so they think," reads the description of the film.

The screenplay for this (somewhat) realistic nightmare was written by Caitlin Crabb together with Kevin Williamson, who worked on such familiar horror films as Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Of course, on social networks as in social networks, it was difficult to simply accept the release of the film as a fact that there is no need to say anything about it, and they were filled with responses from post-traumatic surfers.

"Why would I want to live this period as a horror movie?", one of them wrote.

"Maybe just turn it all into a horror movie," read another, while another emphatic commenter stated that "we don't need movies about Covid-19."

As is customary (sometimes) in the genre, the film's release date is Friday the 13th.
