(ANSA) - ROME, 08 JAN - Between rents, bills and various repairs, European families in 2021 spent a quarter of their budget on the house: on average 25%.
A high incidence on portfolios but still down by 0.5% compared to the previous year.
Italy - according to the latest Eurostat updates - is in line with the average, indeed slightly below with 24.3%.

And while slightly less is spent on the house, transport and entertainment expenses are increasing, benefiting throughout the Old Continent from the easing of measures against the pandemic.
In 2021, - explains the European statistical institute - "Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels" represented a quarter (25%) of EU household spending, down by 0.5 percentage points compared to 2020"
