Tal was asked about the decision to re-establish Meschit.

"It all started when I worked in Paris for Albert Elbaz. I fell in love with working in a large fashion house with the best material professionals, and when I returned to Israel I wanted to establish my own brand. I heard about Meschit, which before it closed in 1994 employed new immigrants, dealt with different cultures and embroideries, which are my area of expertise , and it inspired me to revive it. The only fashion house ever to operate in Israel," she said.

And what was her impression of Merot Dayan?

"I fell in love with her on our first meeting, which lasted eight hours," said Tal.

"She is an extraordinary woman, with an amazing eye and taste and a big heart. This led us to create an international fashion house. She was my muse, and my best friend. My partner called her 'the dinosaur', because she was so rare and expensive," she shared You wrote with sincerity.

How is Israeli culture reflected in Meschit's clothes?

"Mishkeit is Israel. The collections are inspired by the landscapes, the cultures and the beautiful moments we have here. From city life to the desert, from the beach to the mountains, this is the melting pot that is Israel," she says.

"Do you still use traditional manufacturing techniques?" Belinsky asked.

"Meshkit is a luxury couture line, everything is handmade especially for us. We have the tallit technique that is unique to us, and it creates three-dimensional embroidery using silver thread. We created new and modern shapes with it, and we made evening dresses that are decorated with this amazing embroidery, it looks like huge jewelry We also have hand-painted prints on silk dresses, and more," she says.

Tal was asked what her design mantra was, and she replied: "Slow fashion - buy less, use it more. Don't use an item once, but combine it with different items, and create looks that are suitable for day and night."
