What influence on the Oscars?
Faced with the controversies which revealed that the association had no black members, the HFPA doubled the jury of the Golden Globes, co-opting 103 new entrants - who are not full members -, including many women and people from ethnic minorities.
This renewal notably resulted in rather relevant and reasonable appointments.
In the past, the Golden Globes have been known to include unmistakable turnips as long as the credits for those movies include a big name.
