An Edeka employee wants to buy a huge mountain of sweets.
This raises a number of questions among her colleagues and on the Internet.
Munich – At least since the corona pandemic, everyone has probably known the term “hamster shopping”.
Fortunately, they have become much rarer now.
But an Edeka cashier now drew questioning looks from colleagues with her fully loaded shopping trolley.
Fully loaded Edeka employee: candy treasure raises questions
A shopping cart full of sweets was the yield of an Edeka employee.
Sharing a photo as proof on Twitter, she wrote, "I'm afraid every time I've explained to my colleague at the checkout that this isn't all just for me, I've become less credible."
Given the sheer amount of snacks that had to be eaten the supermarket employees probably answer some questions.
In addition to gummy bears, Maoam and chips, prince rolls, marshmallows and chocolate candies also landed in the trolley.
That's suspiciously much for one person, that's what the candy lover's colleagues thought.
"Bribery, admit it" - Users puzzle over snack bulk purchase
"But I swear it's not all just for me!" the user asserted.
"Bribery, admit it," commented one user, just for fun.
The Edeka employee clarified: "No, exceptionally not.
Snack bar for my wedding, so I don't spontaneously fall into hypoglycemia."
The sweet temptation will probably also attract other sweet tooths: "I'm just afraid that I have to share with the guests," admitted the user.
Another user therefore advised her to set up a “secret depot”.
A user promptly demanded: “One bag from each, please.
It's not all for you."
Not entirely unselfishly, someone also offered to guard the candy treasure until the wedding - "I used to be security," said the man.
Despite the selfless offer: the Edeka employee politely declined every request.
The deli counter is a traditional flagship of supermarkets.
But she seems to have fallen out of time and faces tough competition.
