Five bronze medals and 13 certificates of appreciation were won by Syrian students participating in the Iranian International Mathematical Engineering Olympiad, whose results were released today.
The Excellence and Creativity Commission stated, in a statement that SANA received a copy of, that 147 male and female students from various Syrian governorates participated in the Olympiad, which was organized remotely on the fourteenth of last October, within four age groups (beginner, intermediate, advanced, and free), distributed among 7 geographical centers. In (Damascus, As-Suwayda, Homs, Hama, Tartous, Lattakia, and Aleppo).
The authority indicated that 8,600 male and female students, representing 60 countries, participated in the Olympiad, and competed in a test that lasted four and a half hours.
This is the fifth Syrian participation in this Olympiad, which has been held annually since 2014, and enjoys wide participation from various countries of the world.
