Damar Hamlin has been released from a Cincinnati hospital a week after the Buffalo Bills football player suffered a heart attack and collapsed on the field during a National Football League (NFL) game.

The 24-year-old athlete, who had been resuscitated at the scene, showed continued signs of improvement, astounding the doctors.
On Sunday night he tweeted a photo showing him in his hospital bed watching his team win against the New England Patriots.
The player has left the intensive care unit of the Cincinnati hospital because he is no longer in critical condition and therefore able to face the journey to be treated and monitored in the hospital in Buffalo, New York State.
