Mortality: as many, if not more, deaths in 2022 than in 2020 or 2021, how can this be explained?

The figures are not entirely definitive, but they already allow us to take stock of the past year.

And this one looks heavy.

654,492 deaths were recorded from January 1 to December 24, 2022 in France, according to provisional data communicated by INSEE on Friday January 6.

This is much more than in 2019 (+ 8.9%), as much as in 2020, and more than in 2021 (+ 1.2%) over the same period.
