Soumahoro leaves the Greens 'I join the mixed group'

"Subject to a violent defamation campaign and this shameful media lynching." Amazed by the absence of human solidarity and political support from the Greens and the Left (ANSA)

"I was frankly amazed and embittered, with the exception of a few MPs, by the absence of human solidarity and political support from the Alleanza Verdi-Sinistra (AVS) parliamentary group, with which I was elected as an independent. After a careful and suffered meditation on the human and political level, I matured the decision to join the Mixed parliamentary group, leaving the AVS group, to continue my activity as a Parliamentarian".

This was stated by the deputy Aboubakar Soumahoro in a substantial dossier in which he reverses the accusations that have rained down on him in recent months.

"After this violent defamation campaign and this shameful media lynching - explains Soumahoro - there will be a way to stimulate a careful human, socio-cultural and political analysis. For now, I can only say that I have been able to count, in these last difficult months, on various demonstrations of solidarity, public and private, by citizens, by individual Italian and European parliamentarians, by people from the world of culture and entertainment, by popular movements, by student networks, by anti-racist movements, by the complex world of work, of lay and religious associations, and of servants of the State to whom I extend my profound thanks".

"I entered Parliament - he continues - with the commitment to give representation to the needs, aspirations, sufferings and desires of those who have been forgotten or made 'invisible' for years in our country. The very high abstention that characterized the last political elections is a symptom of a disaffection and disillusionment on the part of the citizens who must humbly know how to interpret, providing concrete, clear and credible answers and political-legislative proposals.

There are many commitments made with the people that I intend to honor through the broadest sharing, and in the belief that the values and principles that have always characterized my activity in the field remain the foundations of my work, inside and outside the institutions.

For this reason, I find it absurd to continue discussing the non-existent 'Soumahoro case', as has happened in the last two months: the conditions of the labourers, the poor, the forgotten and the invisible who have emerged from the radar, also in the recently approved Budget Law.

However, whoever set up the case knew what he was doing: this story did not happen by chance.

Now we need to go back to talking about those in need: I never stopped,

'I misunderstood, anyone can dress however they want'.

Photos of my wife who was 4 years old before I met her

"I am sincerely sorry that what I really meant when I spoke of the right to fashion and elegance was not understood, where I meant the right of anyone to dress as they see fit. However, I find it really strange that I am asked to express a value judgment about photos of my partner dating back 4 years before I met her".

This was stated by the deputy Aboubakar Soumahoro in a dossier in which he refutes the accusations that have arrived in recent months also regarding his wife, Liliane Murekatete.

Following the investigation opened by the Latina Public Prosecutor's Office on the conditions of the workers in the Karibu cooperative, the dossier reads, the photos of Liliane Murekatete were taken "from newspapers, websites and magazines which underlined and commented on her way of dressing,

I asked for clarification on Karibu in 2021. They told me that the money to pay salaries had not arrived

"At the end of 2021, I read some press articles on the non-payment of some Karibu employees and - despite having no direct interest in the cooperatives - I asked for immediate clarifications in this regard. I was informed that all the money needed to pay had not yet been received the salaries, which the public bodies had requested, and - so I was told - that hopefully everything would be resolved in a reasonable time".

Deputy Aboubakar Soumahoro explains it in a dossier.

"The cooperative - Soumahoro reconstructs - had an excellent reputation as it was awarded and appreciated by many local and national newspapers and politicians, so I had no reason to believe there were irreparable critical issues, apart from a temporary cash flow difficulty,

unfortunately quite frequent for those who work with projects financed by public funds.

In any case, I have total faith in the Judiciary, and if mistakes have been made, whoever made them will pay". Soumahoro - explains the dossier - "in recent years has only visited one branch of the Karibu cooperative, the one dedicated to assisting minors, finding a clean and dignified environment as publicly recognized by the Municipality of Rome, which confirmed that the situation (DURC certification) was regular until 27 October 2022". "The situation in the world of assistance is critical - explains Soumahoro - and certainly not from today.

The State pays little, badly and late, especially after the entry into force of the Security Decree in 2018.

When asked why I didn't immediately take action to intervene in support of Karibu workers in difficulty, I can answer two things: the first, as an entirely partial justification, is that while I was heavily involved with my trade union and social activities in the national, I had hope that the situation could quickly resolve once the expected public funds arrived;

the second is to offer my unconditional apologies to those workers, who would have deserved from me - in any case and regardless of the above - more solicitous attention.

When a person makes a mistake, even if only by underestimating the problem and not in bad faith, there is only one solution: apologize, and commit to doing better in the future so that it never happens again".

There are children in the slums of Foggia.

They cannot live in the settlement due to environmental conditions

given the conditions of chronic lack of security in the settlements - which forced us to interrupt the party.

For this we gave the presents to the farmhands who distributed them to the children at a later time.

Only bad faith can suggest conclusions other than what actually happened". Deputy Aboubakar Soumahoro explains this by replying to the reports according to which he would have distributed gifts for children in the slums in the province of Foggia where, it was claimed, children do not c 'they were.
