It's a historic day for Italian tennis.
For the first time three Azzurri simultaneously enter the Top 20 of the ATP ranking.
In fact, Matteo Berrettini, n.14 in the world (+2) and again number 1 in Italy, and Jannik Sinner (n.16, -2), is joined by Lorenzo Musetti.
The successes in the United Cup over the Norwegian Viktor Durasovic, the Brazilian Felipe Meligeni Alves, the Pole Daniel Michalski and the Greek Stefanos Sakellaridis, allowed him to gain 60 points and above all four positions in the standings, entering the top 20 players for the first time of the world.
The Carrara, n.19 this week, is the Top 20 that has made the most conspicuous progress compared to the last week of 2022. Behind Berrettini, Sinner and Musetti are Lorenzo Sonego number 44 (+1),
Fabio Fognini number 57 (-2) and Marco Cecchinato number 93 (+8).
As for the top of the ATP ranking, in the Top 10 the Muscovite Andrey Rublev gains two positions and climbs back to sixth place, because Felix Auger-Aliassime and Medvedev lost 300 and 205 points respectively.
Back in the top 10 is the 'next gen' Holger Rune, champion last year at Bercy.
Novak Djokovic remains in fifth place.
