Surely you all have a colleague who leaves corpses of disposable cups or mugs blackened with coffee grounds lying around in the open space for days... This is the observation made by four French entrepreneurs who decided to set up a start-up -up in 2019, Auum, by entering the dry steam cleaning market for mugs.

Based in Châtillon (92), the company has created and marketed this 55 cm high and 36 cm wide cleaner, the size of a coffee machine, capable of washing, disinfecting and drying a mug in 20 seconds. glass, with only 2cl of water and without any chemicals.

Easy to use, just slip in the reusable container (specially adapted to the machine) and the cleaning process begins.

“What is interesting with our invention is that in France we still consume 5 billion disposable cups each year, especially in companies.

That is an average of 3 cups per person per day.

And so we really want to reduce that figure,” explains Clément Houllier, CEO of Auum, who already rents his machine, for 180 euros per month (with adapted lenses) to half of the CAC 40 companies and 126 companies based to the defense.

The innovation was even presented last January at the 2022 edition of the Consumer Electronic Show (CES), the great global tech mass held each year in Las Vegas in the United States.
