The TikTok video by user "Yase" shows that the employees in an unknown German Edeka have come up with something very special to avoid the frequently asked question ("Sorry, where's the yeast?") - or the customers on curious way to buy time.

The idea is as simple as it is ingenious: A large yellow sign with the inscription "Hefe" was attached to the refrigerated section in the branch, and a chain of lights is conveniently stuck to it.

In this way, Edeka customers are more or less finding their way to the item they are looking for, reports HEIDELBERG24.

"Apparently the employees were getting annoyed," suspects the finder of the sign on TikTok.

The video – and the idea of ​​the Edeka employees – is celebrated in the comments.

With the yeast sign at Edeka, where a major change has been pending in many branches since January 1, 2023, this will not happen anytime soon.

One trick is apparently not to look directly for the small packets of yeast on the shelf.

Another even expanded on this trick when looking for the yeast: “My tactics when looking: Don't look for the products, but the price tags.

Otherwise there are no other single-digit amounts on the signs," advises a TikTok user.
