On eBay classifieds, an interested party apparently does not have much money and is only offering 4,000 euros for a Porsche.
Instead of refusing, the salesman makes fun of him.
Karlsruhe - Everyone lives the dream of owning their own car when they are younger, but the dream of a Porsche remains for many into old age.
The popular sports cars from the car manufacturer from Stuttgart are not exactly for the small purse.
Legendary models like the 911 or the electric Taycan are status symbols for a reason.
So if you don't have the wherewithal to buy your dream car from a Porsche dealer - such as the new Porsche branch that opened in Stuttgart in 2022 - you have to look around for used cars.
On the popular eBay classifieds trading platform, a user from Karlsruhe (Baden-Württemberg) actually offers a Porsche for sale.
This is a Cayman 718 GTS, which is still one of the cheaper models among the sports cars from the Zuffenhausen company.
An offer from a potential buyer is still well below the almost 70,000 euros demanded by the seller, as BW24 writes.
Instead of informing him or simply rejecting the offer, the seller is kidding the user.
On the Internet, users make fun of the answer, but some also feel sorry for the prospect.
Interested party offers 4,000 euros for Porsche on eBay classifieds – seller responds with sarcasm
A survey showed how popular Porsche models still are, according to which Germans take out large loans for Porsche and Tesla models.
In the case of the Porsche Cayman offered on eBay classifieds, you could actually get a bargain at the price, the current Cayman GT4 model costs around 100,000 euros new.
"Hey, I'm in training and don't have that much money available," wrote one interested party under the offer, as the Instagram page "Best of Classifieds" noted.
"I would pick up the Porsche for 4,000."
The Cayman offered in the case described should still cost 69,990 euros, so a bid of 4,000 euros is clearly not enough for the sports car.
However, the seller had apparently decided to tease the interested party.
"Sounds interesting, I'll think about it," he wrote.
"Okay, because I urgently need a car, I have to go two places to work every day and it's not so good by train," replied the interested party.

Normally, with such a request, which apparently comes from a younger user, the answer would be that for less than 4,000 euros you can definitely get a used car that will take you to and from work without any problems.
It doesn't have to be a Porsche.
The seller, however, opted for a tongue-in-cheek response.
"Yes, of course it sucks, two places and then work there too," he wrote.
"I'll probably meet you in price out of pity." The interested party apparently didn't notice the sarcasm and wrote that he would be happy because he had to walk seven kilometers to work every day.

"Then you can't be expected to pick up the [Porsche] here either," the salesman replied, still sarcastic.
"I'd just bring it to you with a full tank if we come to an agreement." A more than tempting offer, but the interested party still didn't notice the sarcasm.
Under the Instagram post of “Best of Kleinwerbung”, users continue to make fun of the interested party.
“The poor man has to walk seven kilometers to work every day, these conditions are unacceptable.
Let's start a GoFundme so that the poor man can get his Porsche!"
“If you don't have any money, then a Porsche Cayman is of course the right car for you.
They also cost next to nothing to maintain and hardly need any fuel.”
“It is also absolutely impossible to drive to work in an old, cheap car.
It has to be a Porsche!”
"I cycle my eight kilometers to work. Who will give me their Porsche?"
"But you also have to say that a Porsche is enough for him to get to work."
"Did he forget a zero?
I would like to go and give him my opinion.”

However, some users also feel sorry for the prospect and suspect that it is a young person.
Others, on the other hand, wonder who is actually kidding whom in this case.
"Plot twist: I think it's the buyer who is kidding the seller here." But no matter who is presenting whom, one thing is certain: a Porsche is probably not available for a price of 4,000 euros and the prospective buyer is looking for his way to work should look for a cheaper model.
"As a trainee, I would not have thought about even looking at such offers," wrote one user.
