Tokyo stock market closes up (+0.78%)
The Tokyo Stock Exchange concludes the first session of the week with a plus sign, after yesterday's national holiday, with investors anticipating an easing of the US Federal Reserve's monetary tightening following last Friday's US labor market data.
The reference Nikkei index scores an increase of 0.78%, to 26,175.56, adding 200 points.
In terms of exchange rates, the yen strengthened slightly against the dollar, to a value just under 132, while it depreciated against the euro to a level of 141.60.
Shanghai closes at -0.21%, Shenzhen at +0.29%
Contrasted closing for the Chinese stock exchanges: the Shanghai Composite index drops 0.21% and slips to 3,169.51 points, while that of Shenzhen gains 0 .29%, reaching 2,060.44.
