Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will appear during the Golden Globes live broadcast tonight to deliver a "message of peace".
This was announced by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association which organizes the awards.

Sean Penn,

Penn, on his third visit to Ukraine after the Russian aggression, presented Zelensky with one of his three Oscars "as a symbol of faith" in the nation after he was forced to flee last March from Kiev where he was shooting a documentary about the war: a loan in anticipation of Ukraine's victory over the invader.

The evening will be snubbed by Brendan Fraser, candidate for 'The Whale' and who in 2018 revealed that he was harassed by Philip Berk, the former president of the Hfpa expelled two years later for having defined Black Lives Matter as a racist movement.
Also absent is Tom Cruise, snubbed in the nominations for 'Maverick' after returning his three Golden Globes last year in protest.
