Prince Harry denies having ever called the British royal family "racist", but does not hesitate to evoke giving in to "stereotypes" and "unconscious prejudices" circulating about his wife Meghan since after their marriage: stereotypes fueled, according to him, by those the island's media, tabloids in primis, with which, according to him, "certain members" of the Windsor house actually flirted, choosing to "get into bed with the devil" in order to have personal image benefits.

This is one of the most cited themes - and most contested by the usual battery of royal establishment correspondents - of the interviews of the night on various TV stations in the US and the UK granted by the Duke of Sussex to promote the autobiography 'Spare':

On the thorny issue of Markle's ethnic origin, Harry ruled out the accusation of racism in relation to the episode told at the time according to which an anonymous member of the dynasty expressed concerns about the skin color of their firstborn Archie before birth.

However, he spoke of a possible "unconscious bias".

While he did not hesitate to denounce the silence of the rest of the Windsors in the face of media "stereotypes" about Meghan, branded from time to time as "American, actress, divorced, black, biracial or with a black mother": silence confirmed as "deafening" in his words even recently, on the occasion of the publication in Rupert Murdoch's Sun of an openly outrageous and sexist italics against Meghan signed by Jeremy Clarkson.
