Has the hour of reconciliation struck between Victoria Beckham and her daughter-in-law?

The ex-Spice Girl wished a happy birthday to Nicola Peltz, the wife of her son Brooklyn Beckham, this January 9. But the Instagram post wasn't enough to convince that the two women are indeed on good terms.

Would the hatchet finally be buried?

Not sure.

Whatever they do or say, Victoria and Nicola do not seem to be able to convince of their agreement.

It has now been many months, at least since the preparation for the wedding of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz in April 2022, that the latter would be cold with her mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham.

Idle rumors?

The fashion designer posted a photo of her and her daughter-in-law, seated and accomplices in the kitchen, on her Instagram account on January 9.

"The driest birthday message"

In honor of the 28 years of her daughter-in-law, Victoria Beckham therefore accompanied the photo with the legend: “Happy birthday @NicolaAnnePeltzBeckham (heart) I hope you have a good day !!!

To which Nicola Peltz replied with an enthusiastic "Thank you very much!", Accompanied by three hearts.

Alas, Internet users have sought the little beast.

Some first noted that David Beckham's wife did not sign the message with her usual: "Kisses, VB";

or “I love you so much, kisses”.

Others found that these birthday wishes sounded false: “The driest birthday message ever,” commented one user, for example.

Split hairs

Many all the same are those to have retorted that one should not look for noon at two o'clock.

“It's a cute photo and that's it.

VB does not have to end its messages with “Bisous VB” or “We love you so much”.

Exasperated, a fan wrote: “My God, people are so dramatic.

If she hadn't posted, that would have been a problem.

If she posts, they'll find something to complain about.

Buy yourself a life, please!”

Another Instagrammer linked to the stormy news of British royalty: “After all this royal fights, it's a breath of fresh air to see these two trying to get past their pride for a family reunion, because no conflict can be stronger than the family bond”.

The wedding dress affair

As a reminder, the quarrel would have originated at the beginning of the marriage between the actress of

(on Disney + on January 11) and the eldest of the Beckhams.

Victoria Beckham would have indeed given up creating the wedding dress of her future daughter-in-law, according to an interview with the latter granted to

Grazia USA

The 28-year-old actress would later have dismissed her mother-in-law from organizing the ceremony.

Subterranean disputes?

Because speaking out publicly on private family matters is not part of the Beckham ethos.

The former footballer would have also criticized his 23-year-old son, who had joined the

interview with his wife.

Victoria Beckham had made the choice to wave the white flag by inviting her son and daughter-in-law to the front row of her fashion show during Paris Fashion Week in October.

And above all, taking care, this time, to show everyone that they form a united front and “that she loves them so much”.

Behind the scenes, however, the rumors would have persisted because of the distant attitude of the actress of

(2013) towards her mother-in-law.

His denial in the columns of the

Sunday Times

on October 30, claiming "it's not a dispute", had, once again, not convinced.
