A 17-year-old student has been arrested in North Rhine-Westphalia on suspicion of having killed his vocational school teacher.
As the police and public prosecutor announced, the teenager is said to have visited the 55-year-old on Tuesday afternoon in the school building in Ibbenbüren, where she was alone in a classroom at the time.
There, the 17-year-old is said to have attacked and killed the teacher with a knife.
The young man then dialed the emergency number and was arrested by the police without resistance.
A homicide commission from the Münster police took over the investigation.
