Amazon is ending a delivery service offer – customers have to react quickly

Amazon stamps an offer.
Customers who wanted to unsubscribe anyway have until mid-January to do so.
There is already an alternative.
Dortmund – As controversial as the online retailer Amazon is, it is probably just as practical.
If something is missing in the household, it can be found quickly at the retailer and ends up in the shopping cart even faster.
With a service, customers don't even have to do anything themselves - the goods come home as if by magic.
That's enough of that.
Amazon cuts delivery service - the service is a holdover of the "Dash Buttons"
The Amazon "Dash Buttons" were already abolished in 2019.
With the physical counters, customers could reorder goods such as detergent or toilet paper at the touch of a button - without even having to open the Amazon homepage.
But not only that it was not well received by the customers.
After a lawsuit by the consumer advice center, it also turned out that the procedure is even illegal, since the prices were not visible at the time the order was placed.
A holdover from the "Dash Buttons" is Amazon's "Dash Replenishment Service".
But here, too, the last hour has come, as RUHR24 reports.
Amazon's "Dash Replenishment Service" is like an interface between smart devices and online retailers.
Devices such as printers can use this service to automatically reorder consumables if they notice that printer ink is running low.
But that will soon change.
Amazon ended the service on March 31 – there were hardly any buyers in Germany anyway
According to

, this service has not found much approval, at least in Germany.
There are hardly any manufacturers whose devices support this Amazon function.
On the German side of the online retailer, it is mostly printers who can automatically order ink with “Dash Replenishment Service”.
On Amazon.com, on the other hand, there are also electric toothbrushes and air filters.
In Germany, this Amazon service is now finally deleted.

Amazon cancels delivery service – but there is already a successor
According to the report, customers should only have until January 11, 2023 to change the relevant settings.
Futurezone
reports that once the date has passed, the subscription can no longer be canceled and automatic orders will be placed until March 31st.
However, customers who do not want to do without automatic orders need not despair.
Because Amazon doesn't do without the car orders entirely - but shifts them to Alexa.
According to

, the smart device that is to place automatic orders must be connected to Alexa.
The following steps are necessary for this:
The Alexa skill of the respective manufacturer must be activated.
This will automatically unsubscribe customers from the Dash Replenishment Service.
In the Alexa app, under “Devices”, select “All Devices”.
The reorder product can be selected there.
Amazon customers do not have to do without the convenient function entirely.
All you have to do is set up Alexa.
