The Coachella festival, bringing together some 250,000 visitors each year, has just unveiled its program for 2023. This time again, rock groups are rare.
Fortunately, some French-speaking artists are in the spotlight.
Lucky in the middle of headliners like Frank Ocean, Bad Bunny and Blackpink.
We can also see and hear Rosalía, Gorillaz, Björk, Charli XCX, Blondie, 070 Shake, Los Bitchos, Burna Boy, Willow, Calvin Harris, Alex G, Pusha T, Gorillaz, Wet Leg, Weyes Blood, Kali Uchis, who make one of the big headliners of this 22nd edition.
On Fridays April 14 and 21, the event welcomes Angèle for the first time, crowned with success in 2022 thanks to her album
Nonante-Cinq
, which has just been certified triple platinum.

The singer's participation in the festival is part of her first international tour, which begins a week earlier in Vancouver.
On the same dates, the public will be able to attend the concert of French Kiwi Juice (FKJ), a Franco-New Zealand musician.
After two editions canceled due to the pandemic and a turbulent resumption in 2022, the 22nd edition of the festival also celebrates the great return of Redcar, formerly Christine and The Queens.
In 2019, after the success of his album

the artist ignited the festival stage with a show rich in visual effects.
A few days after his first performance, widely acclaimed by the public, the interpreter of
Saint Claude
learned of the death of his mother and canceled his second concert.
Redcar will perform on Sundays April 16 and 23.

This year, the electro duo The Blaze is also there, after a remarkable appearance during the 19th edition of the festival, in 2018. A set on the Coachella stage, but also on that of Primavera in Barcelona, Lovebox in London and Parklife in Manchester... At the time, armed only with an EP and a few singles, the duo of cousins was already tackling the biggest festivals.
And five years later, the return of the Franchys to the Californian desert promises to be hot.
Other French-speaking artists will also be present to celebrate this new edition of the biggest American musical event.
Among them, DJs Chloé Caillet and Marc Rebillet, Quebec producer Kaytranada and the Franco-American jazz duo Domi & DJ Beck.
Before them, Aya Nakamura, Stromae, L'Impératrice and even Mika performed on the big Coachella stage.
The festival takes place in Indio from April 14-16 and April 21-23, 2023.
