(ANSA) - PARIS, JAN 11 - Six people were injured at the Gare du Nord in Paris by a man who stabbed them with an awl.
The attack happened this morning at 6:45.
The first to react was a non-duty policeman, who wounded the assailant before being joined by some uniformed colleagues who opened fire.
The individual, not yet identified, was transported to the hospital and is said to be in a serious prognosis 'between life and death' due to a bullet that hit him in the chest.
The reasons for the gesture are unknown, which caused a wave of panic among the passengers.
At the moment, the investigators are not speaking of an attack of a terrorist nature.
