Failure of the fetuses in Rishon Lezion:
The family court in Rishon Lezion authorized the patients to undergo a genetic test in order to determine whether they are the biological parents of the baby Sophia.
The court rejected the recommendation of the legal guardians appointed for the baby Sofia, according to which it should be determined already now that the mother and her partner will be the ones to raise her.
The judge even criticized the fact that in their recommendation the legal guardians exceeded the mandate given to them by the court.
As a reminder, the Family Court has already determined that the genetic tests must be conducted for the six pairs of patients who applied to the court, as well as for those who choose it from among all 22 couples, who were marked by Assuta as likely to be the baby's biological parents.
The lawyers of the mother and her partner appealed the decision to the district court, which decided to order the appointment of a legal guardian for Sofia and return the hearing to the family court.
The mother and her partner claimed that the best interest of the baby is to "grow up with her birth mother and her partner who gave her a caring and caring life".
Now, after the court heard the position of the legal guardians who represented the baby - the judge ruled again that the genetic tests should be allowed to be carried out as previously determined.
