(ANSA) - NEW YORK, JAN 10 - Austin Butler of 'Elvis' has won a Golden Globe for best actor in a drama.
He beat 'The Whale' Brendan Fraser, 'The Son' Hugh Jackman, 'Living' Bill Nighy and 'The Inspection' Jeremy Pope.
Fraser boycotted the Globes for being harassed by a former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which has been attributing them for 80 years.
Cate Blanchett won a Best Drama Actress for 'Tar'.
The star, who was "engaged in the UK for work", was not present in Los Angeles to accept the award.
Colin Farrell won Best Actor in a Comedy, in Martin McDonagh's 'The Banshees of Inisherin'.
It is the second golden globe for the actor, who in his acceptance speech thanked the little donkey Jenny, the film's co-star.
"Glad to be at the ceremony in person," Guillermodel Toro accepted the Golden Globe for his 'Pinocchio' best cartoon of the year.
"Life, losses, belonging", these are the themes of the film as the director summarized them when receiving the statuette.
