(ANSA) - BRASILIA, 12 JAN - Despite the almost unanimous condemnation of the assault on the buildings of power committed last Sunday in Brasilia by radical supporters of Jair Bolsonaro, the judgment of Brazilians is divided on the political responsibility of the former president of the Republic: this is what a poll reveals Datafol released today.
93% of those interviewed condemn the acts of vandalism committed in the federal capital, and only 3% justify them.
For 55% Bolsonaro had some degree of responsibility in the accidents, while 39% believe that he had no interference.
Diverging opinions also on the measures taken by the judiciary: 46% believe that the people involved should be arrested, while 26% agree with the imprisonment of only some and 9% disagree with any type of detention.
The survey was conducted by telephone between Tuesday and yesterday on 1,214 people over the age of 16.
