Fish recall: German manufacturer warns of a health hazard - do not consume the product under any circumstances

Fish and salmonella - it's an old song.

Now a German manufacturer is recalling a batch of the product because of the "possibility of health hazards".

Dassow - Whether in fish, eggs or even articles that you buy in the drugstore, products are always infected with salmonella.

The manufacturers regularly react with recalls, since the pathogen can cause damage to health.

Consumers should therefore keep themselves informed, because salmonella in particular is a health risk for young and old.

Tests such as those by Ökotest, which examined fish from Lidl, Aldi and Norma, are also helpful in realizing the desire for high-quality food.

Possibly salmonella in herring - German fish manufacturer recalls product

The currently affected product, which is subject to a recall due to the "possibility of adverse health effects", comes from the German manufacturer Anker GmbH Fisch- u.

It is a batch of "Anker Herring in Gelee", which is sold in 200g packs and has the expiration date April 6th, 2023.

Retailers have already been informed by the manufacturer based in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

The affected batch is therefore likely to have disappeared from the shelves of the grocery stores.

Anyone who has purchased the fish can return it to the respective dealer.
